CONDITIONS TO BE A Z.F.S. PANEL JUDGE Conditions to be met by all Applicants to be a Z.F.S. Full Panel Judge. 1. To be a member of the Zebra Finch Society for a minimum of eight consecutive years, to have gained promotion from Novice to Champion status, and to have exhibited in the Champion status for a minimum of three years. (Members can apply during the year they start exhibiting in the Champion Status for the third year.) Members who have had to show in Champion Status, because someone else in their household was already exhibiting in Champion status, then it is desirable that, they should have gained seven wins in Champion status (Wins defined as per the Novice Rule). This would also apply to members, who move up to Champion without gaining promotion from the Novice section according to the Rules. 2. For applicants, who resigned their membership at sometime, and have not eight consecutive years membership, then they must have a total of eight years membership, and must also have been a member for three consecutive years before applying (Members can apply during their third year of renewed membership). All the other conditions regarding winning promotion to Champion status, and exhibiting as a Champion are still to apply. 3. To have two references in writing from existing Full Panel Judges. The Committee would then consider these references before the applicant was accepted. If the applicant is already on the Subsidiary Panel then only one further reference is required. 4. Full Panel Judges, who resign their membership, and then rejoin the Z.F.S. can apply to rejoin the Full Judges' Panel, during their third consecutive year of renewed membership.

To be a member of the Zebra Finch Society for a minimum of five years, and to have won their way from Novice to Champion status, and to have exhibited in the Champion status for a minimum of one year. (Members can apply during the year they start showing in the Champion status). Members who have had to show in Champion status, because someone else in their household was already exhibiting in Champion status, then it is desirable that, they should have gained seven wins in Champion status (Wins defined as per the Novice Rule). This would also apply to members, who move up to Champion without gaining promotion from the Novice section according to the Rules. 2. For applicants who resigned their membership, and have not five consecutive years membership. Then they must have a total of five years membership, and must also have been a member for two consecutive years before applying (Members can apply during their second year of renewed membership). All the other conditions regarding winning their way to Champion status, and exhibiting as a Champion are still to apply. 3. To have one reference in writing from an existing Full Panel Judge. The Committee would then consider this reference before the applicant was accepted. 4. Members who do not wish to remain on the main Judges' Panel if they apply in writing to the General Secretary, can transfer automatically to the Subsidiary Panel. 5. Full or Subsidiary Panel Judges, who resign their membership, and then rejoin the Z.F.S. can apply to rejoin the Subsidiary Judges' Panel, during their second consecutive year of renewed membership.
Conditions to be met by all Z.F.S. Full Panel Judges: 1. All Z.F.S. Full Panel Judges must be fully paid up members of the Zebra Finch Society, and must be actively engaged in keeping and breeding Zebra Finches. 2. All Z.F.S Panel Judges resident in England, Scotland, or Wales must be active exhibitors of Zebra Finches at Z.F.S. Club, Area, 5 Star, 4 Star, or 3 Star Patronage Shows. 3. To be considered as an active exhibitor, members must exhibit (enter and bench) Zebra Finches at a minimum of four Z.F.S. Club, Area, 5 Star, 4 Star, or 3 Star Patronage Shows, during the two show seasons immediately preceding the Committee review of Full Panel Judges. This review takes place annually at the August Committee meeting. 6. Anyone who fails to meet these requirements will be removed from the Full Panel, and duly notified in writing by the General Secretary.
Conditions to be met by all Z.F.S. Subsidiary Panel Judges: 1. All Z.F.S. Subsidiary Panel Judges must be fully paid up members of the Zebra Finch Society. 2. Anyone who fails to meet this requirement will be removed from the Subsidiary Panel, and duly notified in writing by the General Secretary. All applications for either Judges' Panel must be sent in writing, including the written references to the General Secretary. Applications will be considered at any of the Z.F.S.'s three Committee Meetings, normally held in January, April, and August. (Applications must be with the Secretary by the end of December, or March, or July for the corresponding meetings). The review of the existing Panel Judges will only take place once a year at the August Committee Meeting of the Z.F.S. The Z.F.S. Committee will however reserve the right to refuse any applicant, against whom a complaint of misconduct, relative to bird keeping, has been made, if this complaint has been upheld by the Z.F.S. Committee. |
